Duty hours in the summer semester 2007/2008:



M.A. in English Studies ( Institute of English Studies, Warsaw University, 1982), and in History of Art (Cardinal Wyszyński University, Warsaw,1988 and Courtauld Institute of Art, London, 1990). Ph. D. from the University of Warsaw in 2002 for the dissertation on Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott and the idea of the Arts&Crafts house.


Worked, i.a., as a free-lance translator; education officer at the Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw (1990-92). Since 1993 at the Institute of English Studies of Warsaw University. In 1993 co-organized Days of Silence, at the Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw, a project, devoted to John Cage; in 1999 curated the Polish display of the Baillie Scott. The Artistic House,exhibition at the International Cultural Centre at Cracow.


Lectured on British and Polish art and architecture " at the "Zachęta" Gallery in Warsaw, Centre for Christianity and the Arts of the University of Kopenhagen, Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Institute of Art History of Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences.


Research and visiting fellowships: i.a. The British Council (1989-90, 1991, 1996), The Royal Society of Edinburgh (2004), the Rector 's of Warsaw University (2004-5), Basil Samuel Trust (2005).


Areas of research: art. and architecture of the British Isles; Polish and European modernism in arts, architecture and design, 20th century architecture, English garden.
